WELCOME TO TWISTED TREE HEALTH

MASSAGE THERAPY BEYOND RELAXATION

Although some still regard massage as an extravagant way to relax, the roots of massage therapy travel deep within the fields of Eastern and Western Medicine.

Today, massage therapy is being recognized by scientists and doctors as a proven way to increase health, decrease inflammation, and improve healing. Recent studies have shown specific and detailed evidence that massages go beyond lowering blood pressure and reducing stress, but also help to heal muscle and should be part of a health and fitness program.

MATT BUSE
MATT BUSEOwner, Therapist
My wife Melissa and I founded Twisted Tree Health to bring quality massage and healing to those seeking more than just the everyday “spa” massage. We are very passionate about health and wellness, and believe that the key to a long life is found through holistic practice and balance. Massage is so much more than a tool for relaxation; it can heal injuries, increase flexibility, correct misalignments prevent chronic pain, increase circulation, and so much more.

It was Hippocrates who said, “The way to health is to have an aromatic bath and massage every day.” And while we realize a daily massage may be out of reach, we work hard to bring you quality massage to help you achieve a happy, healthy, and more fulfilling life.

EMILSE HEATON
EMILSE HEATONTherapist
Licensed and practicing massage for four years, Emilse enjoys working with deeper pressure and incorporating Trigger Point and energy work. In addition to her experience, she is also licensed in Lomi Lomi as well as Hot Stone Therapy which makes her an all star for our team.

She is truly talented and provides her undivided attention to each of her patients. She told us, “I want to bring the gift of Massage Therapy to as many people that I can. To show everyone the gifts and benefits that can be achieved if we take care of ourselves and seek help for our discomforts.” She believes that in order for our bodies to be healthy, we need periods of relaxation and releasing of negative energy; perfectly matching our focus of promoting our clients’ well being.

BRITTANY CRAVEN
BRITTANY CRAVENTherapist
Inspired by the desire to heal with her hands, Brittany Craven graduated from the therapeutic massage program at Phoenix College in 2013. Utilizing multiple modalities, she incorporates deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point, static and PNF stretching, Swedish, Lomi Lomi and craniosacral releases to create a custom experience tailored to each client’s needs. It is very important to her that people are educated on their bodies so she teaches her clients about posture and proper stretching so they can continue to improve their quality of life.
MIKE LATZTherapist
Mike has been practicing Massage Therapy since graduating from The Body Therapy Center in 2013. With a foundation in Swedish Massage and Deep tissue work he has built and improved upon his techniques by studying Neuromuscular Therapy and Biodynamic Craniosacral/Cardiovascular Therapy. A well rounded therapist that mixes in multiple modalities to seek out and relieve specific area’s of muscle tension and adhesions. With the Nervous system in mind Mike works at a level of pressure based more on a tenderness threshold then a pressure scale, this allows him to cater to all changes in muscle tissue and gives some control to the client to adjust the deep tissue work to their pain threshold.
With a focus in Craniosacral Therapy Mike uses his specialized training to assist in the recovery from concussion’s, as well as to improve cardiovascular function. When not working in the Craniosacral realm he will use techniques from Neuromuscular Therapy training as well as Myofascial Release to target problem area’s and open up muscle tension.
